As your Amdocs CRM system transactional volume grows the need to invest in more processing power and database storage
becomes increasingly imperative. Archiving and removal of production transactional data provides a way to maintain your

The Amdocs data model requires a very high level of expertise to maintain data integrity when removing data from the
database. To manually create the programming required to only remove and maintain data integrity for a single database
object such as table_case is a large undertaking.

The most common stated reason for the need to remove and archive remove data was due to performance issues,
such as slowdowns in query response times. These performance issues were found to occur when there are millions
of interactions or records in some of the Amdocs tables. We saw performance issues as clients went to upgrade
to the new Amdocs Thin Client. Many clients with larger terabyte size databases need to purge and or archive
copious amounts of data. We found that our solution provided substantially increase response time after the
purge archive was completed, resulted in drastically reduced call center operating costs.

The second most common issue is the cost of the CRM Production Level Database Storage and Management.
An analysis of the costs of storing infrequently used application data in a live CRM production environment vs.
cheap network of off-line storage shows that basic network storage is 80% cheaper than database storage will all
associated costs. Data Archiving provides an immediate ROI just on the reducing storage costs by moving old
transactional data to network storage.
